What frequency are you tuned into

What Frequency Are You Tuned Into?

A couple of weeks ago a good family friend died and I’ve been sad. I noticed that when I was sad and tetchy and feeling low, I more easily got to the places of discouragement, feeling like a failure and giving up as well.

My Divine Team let me know that this was no coincidence – that because I was at a low frequency, I could more easily pick up other low frequency feelings. Like an FM radio – if you’re tuned into a particular station, it’s easy to nudge the dial and pick up another station that’s on a similar frequency.

So Sad FM “helped” me tune into the frequencies of Pissed Off FM, Failure FM and Discouragement FM. Useful. It’s good to remember this when you’re feeling low though, because sometimes it seems like you feel a bit down, and then all of a sudden every bad feeling you’ve ever had is coming for you.

So you need to retune. But if you’re really low, allow yourself to retune gently – if you try to get to Joy FM from Grief FM for example you’ll end up with wildly swinging emotions. Also, if you’re at Grief FM, you may not be ready for Joy FM just yet. You will be. Just maybe not today! So go via “feeling slight better FM”.

So how do you retune your feelings?

1. Self-care

I know, it’s almost always my first suggestion for anything!! But that’s because it works so well. Take seriously good care of yourself – body, mind, heart and soul. Give yourself what you need. Be good to yourself.

2. Self-love

When you’re down you need more love and tlc. So be gentle with you, be kind to you, cherish and nurture yourself.

3. Find what feels good

When you’re feeling very down, most things just don’t seem to feel good. So find your comfort blankets – those things that always make you feel better. For me: Bake Off, books and walking in nature always make me feel better.

4. Stop what feels bad

Sometimes when I’m feeling down, social media becomes a soul-sucking crutch that leeches any remaining life from me (and many hours in the day and night). If you feel the same, remember you’re allowed to switch off from social media! Or whatever else is making you feel bad.

5. Connect with your higher power

If you believe in God, Goddess, Angels, Guides, Ancestors, the Universe…connect to them. (If you don’t, connect to your soul, higher self or heart.) They are the highest frequency there is, and they will hold you in loving arms when you need it.

6. Joy

Joy may be a step too far when you’re having a really bad time, but if you can go there, do what brings you joy. Be with people who bring you joy. Bring a little joy into your life.

7. Write yourself a letter for when you feel discouraged and down

I did this last week after I had connected to my Divine Team and tuned to a higher frequency. Sometimes other people just do not know what to say to help you. But you know what you need to hear when you’re down. You know what you need to be reminded of. When I had a bad day this week, I got that letter out and it did help me feel better.

The ‘higher’ your frequency, the better you feel. And we’d all love to stay at those higher, joyful frequencies all the time, but sometimes life happens…and it’s shit! So when you do fall into the lower frequencies, remember that your radio is tuned to an area of shitty feelings…but it won’t last forever, and you can raise that frequency.
