Discover Your Unique Essence

This weekend I’ve been watching some Faaaaaaaaabulous videos from Sandy Grason about building your empire, masterminding and your unique essence. And I thought that you would love the process for discovering your unique essence. If you’d like to watch the video about it, click here.
In a nutshell, the process is this: 1. Get a sheet of paper and write “I am” at the top and 1 to 10 down the side. 2. Imagine yourself a year from now – your life has gone better than you could ever have dreamed. Revel in that picture of you. 3. Write down the first 10 words you think of to describe who you are being in that picture. Don’t edit, don’t second guess and just write. 4. Write out your “I am” statement with the 10 qualities and add “I allow the pure expression of my (your name)-ness to shine forth in every moment”.
5. Share it in a comment here. Here’s mine:

Celebrating What’s Right With the World

DJ of inflow services shared this video with me earlier this week – on my first day back at work after the holidays, and it literally MADE my day! This is such a wonderful way to look at the world, and it’s a great reminder at the time of year when it’s cold, and dark and you’re skint and have given up everything you enjoy doing (unless you read my wednesday blog and stopped that insanity!) to celebrate life.
Now I hope you are as inspired as I was by this, and I have a challenge for you: what’s right with your world? It’s all too easy to say what we haven’t got, what’s missing, what’s wrong, but it’s much more fun and inspiring to look at what is right and celebrate it! I would love to hear about what’s right in your world if you’re inspired to share.

Happy New Year! To each and every one of you, I wish you love, luck, laughter, joy, prosperity, good health, fun and a life that makes you go WOW! I see you shining like the bright star you are. I see you radiating your loving heart, your brilliance and your genius into the world. I see paying attention to the joyful moments in your life and breezing past the horrid ones with a flick of your hair and confident step.
I see you dancing like you just don’t care, I see you having the confidence to be your very best you, I see you laughing and enjoying your life. I see you being present with whatever you have in front of you in every moment. I see you falling in love with life, in love with your self and in love with the world around you. I see you looking in the mirror every day with a big smile and saying “Morning GORGEOUS! We have a wonderful day ahead.”

Are You Being Brilliance?

Inside all of us is the knowledge of who we could be…not the ’stick thin woman trying to get out from under a layer of jaffa cakes’, but the core of our being – that bit that knows ‘there is more to me than this’. Inside you there is a wonderful, beautiful, loving, brilliant woman (or man). And you know it.
Are you being that Shiny Gorgeous Brilliance? Or is that brilliance hidden behind layers of self-doubt, stress, frustration, anger, and lack of confidence? Chinks of it still shine through – I can see it from here. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to start deliberately allowing that brilliance to shine through.
They’ll be able to see you from another galaxy if you do. They’ll look up at the stars, and there you will be, shining across a million light years.

An Injection of Energy

Since having ‘the tingles’, I’ve been unable to do a couple of the things that normally help raise my energy – yoga and swimming. So I’ve had to pay attention to what else raises my energy level and do more of that. When talking about this with a friend, I realised that some people are entirely unaware of their energy levels. I mentioned yesterday the scale I use where 1 is flat, can’t be arsed energy and 10 is WOOHOO, full of enthusiasm energy.
Where are you on that scale today? And what will you be doing this weekend? And will those things raise or deplete your energy? Notice this weekend what you are doing that leaves you feeling drained of energy, and what you are doing that makes you feel alive and full of energy. And take the decision to get an injection of energy – to do things that energise you and fill you with enthusiasm and joy.
And if you like it, you could continue with daily injections of energy…forever.

Crack Pots

I am sure you’ve seen this story before, it does the rounds of e-mail every few months or so…but I love it!
“An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course , the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream “I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.” The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?”
“That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.” “For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path! ”
